My name is Algirdas Minikauskas. I am a consultant on conversion coatings and powder painting. I am independent – I do not represent any companies producing or selling surface pre-treatment chemicals or powder paints, therefore I am able to assess objectively their strengths and weaknesses.  I work with painters and for painters.

About me:
In 1983, I graduated Chemistry Department of Vilnius University
From 1983 to 1988 I worked as an engineer for environment research laboratory.
From 1988 to 1992, I worked at Prienai Aviation Plant. At first I was an engineer in the research laboratory, later – a head of the galvanic shop.
In 1989 I studied at Moscow State Technology University (MATI).
From 1992 to 1995, I worked at Kaunas Aviation Plant as a head of the galvanic shop, later as a technical director.
From 1995 to 2008, I worked at Company “Novena” as a powder painting technologist.
Since 2000, I have registered my Consultative Firm where I further continue performing of my activities.   

About activities:
Currently, the Firm consults on the following issues:

• Surface pre-treatment
• Conversion (amorphous (Fe)  and crystalline (Zn)  phosphating, chromating) coatings
• Intensification of processes (agitating, spraying, ultrasound) and extension of bath work life (grease removal, cleaning, decanting, regeneration)
• Surface pre-treatment equipment (bath, manual and automatic spraying lines)
• Painting equipment (guns, ovens, cyclones, filters)
• Optimisation of pre-treatment chemistry, powders and processing conditions for a particular product
• Disposal and utilisation of used baths and over-sprayed powder.
• Improvement of working conditions (ventilation, lightning, automation)

My purpose:
To use efficiently my knowledge and experience in order to give direct and measurable benefit to my clients – either increase their income or reduce their expenses.
